Our First Teacher

I don't think it is a coincidence that Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother's Day are back to back.  The first teacher we have all know is our Mom.  From learning to clap, talk, walk, she was the person there to help and cheer you along the way.  Did you know that $21 billion is spent on gifts on Mother's Day?  They say the average person spend over $175 on this day.  Wow.

We are assigned to the task of "mother" to many of our students.  We wipe away tears.  We tie shoes.  We give those pep talks to help keep them going on.  For some students, we may be that only person who does that for them.

Keep up the good work!  And be sure to tell your Mom thank you...and that you love her.  If your Mom is your angel...do the same thing.

P&G has come out with another great video about Moms in time for their special day and the Rio Olympics.  In looking at the video, take note of how as a teacher you do and say many of the same things as these Moms.
